LG Optimus 4X HD coming to India tomorrow, July 28 debut in Singapore


Following the release of HTC One X and Samsung Galaxy S3, the third quad-core Android smartphone from a major manufacturer, the LG Optimus 4X HD, is set make its debut in India and Singapore.Androidos.in reports that LG will announce the coming of LG Optimus 4X HD during a press event, which will be held in Mumbai on July 20. While there’s no solid information yet on the price of the Tegra 3 phone in the country, the Optimus 4X HD is expected to retail in the INR 35,000 range – or the equivalent of US$640.Singaporeans, meanwhile, will get their quad-core Android offering from LG next week. The phone will be launched on July 28 for S$738, which translates to US$590.

This falls in line with how much the phone is going for in the region. Launched last week in Indonesia, the phone can be had for US$620 – making it the more affordable quad-core phone compared to HTC’s and Samsung’s top offering.The LG Optimus 4X HD boasts a 4.7-inch True HD IPS display at 1280 x 720 resolution, the aforementioned quad-core 1.5GHz Tegra 3 chip, 1GB RAM, 16GB internal storage, microSD card slot, 8MP rear camera with full HD recording, 1.3MP front-facing camera, Bluetooth 4.0, WiFi a/b/g/n, NFC, 2,150mAh battery, Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich and the new Optimus 3.0 UI.LG has also thrown in a lifetime free 50GB Box cloud storage, which should help sweeten the pot.
